05 Aug Our Best Revenue Achievement Ever!

Qualifirst biggest monthly sales everIn 1994, the first year that I was manager of Qualifirst Foods, our sales for the entire year amounted to $795,000. Now, twenty years later we have just completed our best revenue achievement ever, selling over $1,000,000 in one month!

This is an opportunity for our entire team to feel proud.

We pulled together and reached this important milestone as one.

Many of our competitors have been struggling with the new economic reality of rising costs and more demanding customers. Many have sold out to U.S. companies or have simply gone bankrupt.

Qualifirst has been able to prosper in this environment by continually questioning what we do and asking ourselves how we can do it better while remaining true to our values.

We invested in a Strong Foundation:

We have been investing our capital in a strong foundation that will allow us to grow and prosper in the future and leave the competition behind.

This foundation includes techniques for improving how we hire, train, and communicate with our team members; also finding better and more efficient ways to use new technologies for marketing, customer relations, social media interaction, and, very importantly, how we buy and what we sell.

I am not surprised by our success, but neither am I going to take it for granted.

As they say, fortune favours the well-prepared.

Our diligent approach is making waves – people are noticing us – from the quality of our products to the quality of our service and knowledge, more and more customers are recognizing that putting their money with us means getting it back many times over through greater sales, more customers and increased orders for their own businesses.

Beyond the sum of the parts:

The credit for this success cannot be placed at the feet of any one individual; it is the result of what happens when the right people are found and positioned together.

The total exceeds the sum of the parts.

Our team members demonstrate initiative and creativity. Their innate abilities and attitudes have been matched to the work that they do so that they do it with pride and with great ability. They truly embody what it means to be a company, rather than a building full of individuals.

For the moment we will pause and savour this victory, but we know that the marketplace requires that we continue to pull together, that we keep working as team.

It is essential that we keep challenging each other and surprising both our customers and each other with new ways of doing things, because that’s what quality is all about.

Weekly Quote:

“If you are trying to decide among a few people to fill a position hire the best writer. It doesn’t matter if the person is marketer, salesperson, designer, programmer, or whatever, their writing skills will pay off. That’s because being a good writer is about more than writing clear writing. Clear writing is a sign of clear thinking. Great writers know how to communicate. They make things easy to understand. They can put themselves in someone else’s shoes. They know what to omit. And those are qualities you want in any candidate. Writing is making a comeback all over our society… Writing is today’s currency for good ideas.”
